My Transformation From Fat to Fit
Welcome to my website! My name is Jessica Fred and I would like to share my weight loss and transformation with you. The picture you see was me on my first born child's first birthday. I couldn't tell you exactly how much I weighed, but it was over 250 lbs. I had another child a little over a year after this picture. My pregnancy weight reached over 300 lbs. I started Weight Watchers when my second child was a little over 6 months old; at the first meeting, I weighed 270 lbs.
I started my transformation from fat to fit in April 2003 with a goal of losing 125 lbs. I learned to take care of myself and to eat appropriately for my body. I ate smaller portions and healthier foods. I began to add more activity to my days by walking more and doing exercise videos. The weight began to come off and each month I was about a pants size smaller. I lost an average of two or more pounds each week for the first full year. I was diligent, keeping track of everything I ate and making sure to get my exercise. I learned to think about things in a whole different way and made some shocking realizations.
I will be sharing some very helpful information on weight loss and exercise through this website. I am currently a Certified Personal Trainer, certified by the National Council of Strength and Fitness (NCSF). My goal is to help as many people as possible by sharing my experience and knowledge of what it takes to lose and maintain a large weight loss. This site will go beyond the basics of losing weight and get to the root of what it truly takes to be healthy and fit.
